THE VALUE OF
MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Environmental policies are becoming more strict—and more strictly enforced. Waiting to change is no longer an option. Econse delivers innovative water and wastewater treatment systems to help businesses get ahead of these mandates.

But the value of environmentally friendly water policies goes deeper than compliance. Being at the forefront of eco-responsibility positions companies as active, involved stewards of the environment within their communities.

Water Stories highlight those companies that have committed to clean water and built value beyond their products.

OUR LATEST STORY

The Beer from Wine Country

Water Stories takes a trip to Bench Brewery!
This is the story of how Econse helped Bench grow sustainably with our BruClean System.  The brewery treats and reuses all the wastewater generated from the brewing process with zero waste. This system is the first of its kind in the world, enabling Bench to recycle 100% of their wastewater and compost organic materials for irrigating hops and apple orchards. This ensures that no wastewater is released into local waterways and reduces the strain on the environment. The brewery is located in the Niagara region, an area that is particularly sensitive to water usage and conservation.
Cheers!

Small Farm – Big Impact

The Holland Marsh region, situated near the banks of Lake Simcoe stands at the cross roads between urban development and rural farm lands.

For generations, farmers have grown the crops that feed Canadian families. But as urban populations grow, excess phosphorus and nutrients from cities, industry and agricultural activities enter the water. This adds stress to the already fragile ecosystem, turning into toxic algae and threating drinking water while suffocating fish and aquatic life.

In Water Stories Episode 03 we will visit a family farm that stepped up to the challenge of regulations and climate change by installing a new Water Recycling System by ECONSE, and have helped to preserve the quality of their water for future generations.

Good Farms Need Good Water

The Holland Marsh region, situated near the banks of Lake Simcoe stands at the cross roads between urban development and rural farm lands.

For generations, farmers have grown the crops that feed Canadian families. But as urban populations grow, excess phosphorus and nutrients from cities, industry and agricultural activities enter the water. This adds stress to the already fragile ecosystem, turning into toxic algae and threatening drinking water while suffocating fish and aquatic life.

The Holland Marsh Growers Association began the Wash Water Project, to evaluate how new technologies could help reduce local farms’ impact on the region’s waterways.

In Water Stories Episode 02 we will visit one farm that has installed an innovative Water Recycling System from ECONSE to help them reduce their water use and limit agricultural runoff, while recapturing tones of Phosphorus each year from entering the environment.

CRAFT BEER WASTEWATER TREATMENT

Fenelon Falls Brewery is located north of Toronto, Ontario in the beautiful Kawartha Lakes Region.

When COVID-19 hit, Craft Brewers helped hold many communities together by staying open and even delivering beer to those in need. Many small businesses had to pivot to keep their operations going with a reduced staff. One thing Fenelon didn’t have to worry about was their wastewater! The small, compact automated BrüClean system treated their wastewater and reduced the burden on the town during the Lockdown and beyond.
